My all time favorite style of dress, hands down, is definitely a SHEATH! And trust me, not all sheaths are created equal!!!  I am a big fan of this style because a) it accentuates some of my best features (IMO) and b) hides all of my major flaws!  I prefer them to hang below the knee, with a form-fitting silhouette and most importantly, a banging color! This Jason Wu dress I found on sale at Nieman Marcus a few months ago.  It’s a gorgeous teal and just fits like a glove.  My other favorite sheath designers include:  Michael Kors, Rachel Roy, and Victoria Beckham.
