I’ve been experimenting and taking more risks with fashion these days.  I’ve also perfected the art of alterations – knowing when i should transform or deconstruct a certain piece if the look can be enhanced.  I instantly fell in love with this modern ruffled blouse by J.W. Anderson when i saw it online.  It’s truly unlike anything currently in my closet and I was attracted to the uniqueness of the design.  However, once it arrived, I discovered the sleeves were way too long and to my surprise, there were no buttons on the bottom half of the shirt (purposely designed that way!).  NO SWEAT!!!  Thanks to my handy seamstress, I was able to shorten the sleeves plus add 3 clasp fasteners to the front of the blouse and now it’s perfect!  I’m sure this piece will be in heavy rotation in the fall and winter…..Unfortunately, I can no longer find this top anywhere on line so I can’t tell you where to find it. However, I’ve found a few alternative design choices for you to consider.

The Jeans i’m wearing are by J Brand – dark, distressed denim – skinny of course!

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that I adore Gianvito Rossi suede pumps!  They are the most comfortable, stylish stiletto pumps a woman can buy – no kidding! The pair i’m wearing is a beautiful “Merlot” color and they can be worn with just about anything!  Burgundy, Oxblood, Merlot is this season’s Nude! My new mini “Marcie” cross body bag by Chloe is my new favorite handbag for the summer.  It’s really small so i can’t carry much but it’s super cute and stylish. Perfect bag for those occasions when you can’t be bothered with a heavy purse but need something to carry the essentials!  Photos by Tony Florez Photography
