I LOVE fashion and I’m so glad I found the courage to start my blog earlier this year, after much encouragement from close friends and family.  It’s a real labor of love but not one that i take lightly by any measure. I’m very conscious of the fact that what I choose to wear is not only a reflection of my personal style but also of the image i want to convey to the world. For this reason, I make fashion choices that i can be proud of and make uniquely my own, because this is what makes me feel most confident.

I would have to say that my signature look is a classic pants suit with a pair of sleek heels.  There’s something about a nicely crafted, well-tailored suit that makes me feel powerful, confident, and in control and it’s the look i opt for when i really want to make a statement (and be taken seriously).  I have quite a few, in a variety of colors and styles and the one i’m wearing in this post is by Rachel Zoe.  The ‘Jolee’ pants are high waist and flared (my fav) with a tuxedo-inspired side stripe and waist band. The fit is perfect.  The ‘Satori’ Jacket is equally sophisticated and sleek with a dropped lapel and shawl collar. Once i found this suit, the only thing left to do was find the perfect camisole – this one i already had in my closet and it was the perfect shade of white.

While this suit makes me “look” powerful, I’m also fortunate to have a number of empowering women around me who provide inspiration and motivation on a daily basis.  Fashion blogging is my personal passion, but in real life, I’m a busy wife and working mother of 2 with a very demanding career.  I’m traveling constantly so my stress level is usually high and my ‘to-do’ list is very long, but during those moments when i’m feeling overwhelmed, i have a number of women confidantes, (who are also balancing the demands of work + family), I can call on for that extra level of support and motivation who remind me that i’m not alone…thankfully.  Together, we empower eachother!

This post is dedicated to the Dress for Success organization, sponsored by ShopStyle’s #BloggersGive campaign.  On Dec 8-9, I will be contributing 10% of all sales (derived by my collections via eBay or via my Retail page) to the Dress for Success organization. Even more fabulous news – @ShopStyle will match 100% of my contributions made to @DressforSuccess!  Thank you for supporting such a worthy cause!
